Considered one of the most remarkable cities in the south - eastern Europe, Sighisoara city was dubbed the "Pearl of Transylvania" since the late nineteenth century. Sighisoara is situated near the center of Romania, in the southern part of Mureş. It is a beautiful city, which hosts a history of thousands of years and where different nationalities live together harmoniously. Fortress and town were established in the Middle Ages and founded by German immigrants in the XII century.

During construction the city has made a good defensive system set up, consisting of a long wall of 930 m (wall of the city), 14 defensive towers and bastions 5 artillery. Unfortunately, today there are only 9 towers and bastions 2.

Is the symbol of the Clock Tower (64 m), which was originally built to defend the city gate. The name comes because the only clock figures in Romania, which is at the 4th floor of the tower. Now, the Clock Tower include the History Museum of Sighisoara, with collection of archeology, pharmacy, furniture, tools and crafts products, watchmaker, ethnography, etc..

Together with the Clock Tower, you can visit the Blacksmith's Tower (in the past was required to defend the Monastery Church in case of emergency), Tower Rope (live in the tower is only kept until today), Butchers' Tower, Tower Cojocari, Tailors Tower, Tower Shoemakers (has a Baroque influence) Cositorarului Tower and Tower tanners.

"The scale covered" is another of the attractions of Sighisoara you should not avoid seeing him. It is said that this scale was constructed to facilitate the students go to school on the hill in winter. Initially, it had 300 steps, but in ur I changes in 1849, remaining 175 steps.

Other interesting buildings in terms of architecture, places to visit, the town of Sighisoara, are: House with Stag, the Vlad Dracul House Venice, but many churches, the Orthodox Church Monastery to Cathedral.
