Mausoleul de la Mateias

It is situated on the hill of the same name, is dedicated to the heroes of the War of National wholeness of the years 1916-1918. Conducted between 1928-1935, mainly of limestone Albesti, is composed of two bodies: first, horizontal, houses ossuaries, which are mounted on the walls of marble with the names of fallen soldiers on duty, the second drop, has the form a tower with turret, leading to a spiral staircase. The mausoleum is made, in 31 tombs, the remains of over 2,300 Romanian troops.
